What is Dads' Playgroup?

Calling all dads, step-dads, grandfathers, uncles and other men who play an important role in a child's life! Dads' Playgroup is a space for dads and dad-like figures to have fun, play with their children & find a community with other local dads.

About the Play: Spend quality time with your child through the messy, varied, and fun activities that are often not available at home. The play involves activities designed to encourage children to learn & develop, with water, sand, music, puzzles, playdough & more. Children and parents are free to wander between activities at their own pace and enjoyment.

About the community: Playgroup is an ideal place to develop new friendships with other parents, relax in a friendly atmosphere and share problems, ideas and experiences. A playgroup instructor will be present to provide support with the activities, advice on parenthood, and friendly chats.

The Playgroup will follow a loose format, which allows you to come and go depending on your schedule, but there will be set themes each week so you know what to expect The sessions for Term 2 are:

Session 1 (20th April): Mini Sports, Fun & Games

Session 2 (4th May): Slime, Playdough & Make a Card for Mother's & Special People's Day

Session 3 (18th May): Paint a Dinosaur

Session 4 (1st June): Teddy Bear Picnic

Session 5 (15th June): Storytime & Craft with Kingston Libraries
