This course, delivered by Australian Education & Training (AET), covers the essential skills for providing basic life support, first aid and incident management until emergency services arrive. It’s suitable for both first‑time learners and those wanting to refresh their skills.

First Aid Training HLTAID009 - CPR only

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to recognise a person who is unresponsive and not breathing normally, and to provide CPR until the emergency services arrive.

Important Information for both courses

A Statement of Attainment will be issued on successful completion of a range of assessments. This includes pre-course online learning tasks (a link to which will be emailed upon booking), verbal interviews and the observation of practical skills such as following the prompts of an AED, completing CPR on a manikin on the floor, using first aid equipment and resources when providing first aid for asthma, anaphylaxis and envenomation.

All participants must provide a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) before a Statement of Attainment can be issued. If you don’t have a USI, you can create one at www.usi.gov.au. For help, please contact AET on 0409 909 098.
