Seniors Festival!
The Victorian Seniors Festival focuses on providing fun and good times with opportunities to participate in events and activities for free or low cost throughout October each year. Check out our activities for this Seniors Festival!

Chair Based Fitness
Monday 9th October
11.30am - 12.15pm
Chair-based fitness programs are designed to deliver a fun, musically driven, interactive, full body workout that uplifts people through dance and fitness moves. The program is created for individuals who have complications while standing during a fitness regimen, which means it’s perfect for senior citizens, people with disabilities or injuries, and more.

Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in, bring a towel and water. The session will be run by our Chair One certified instructor, Lucy.

Zumba Gold
Thursday 12th October
1pm - 1.45pm
Zumba Gold is a perfect class for Seniors! It combines dance, fun and fitness, and is at a lower intensity than a normal ZUMBA Class (not as fast). Music in a ZUMBA GOLD class is the same fun and catchy Latin inspired/International music played in a regular ZUMBA Class. A typical ZG class would include Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, plus more!

Participants will sweat, but the energy level will be in the mid range. Zumba Gold will get you moving, improve your fitness and leave you feeling energised. Don’t worry if you haven't danced in a long time or not at all. Just let your hair down.

Wear sneakers, comfortable clothes that are easy to move in, bring a towel and water. The session will be run by our Licenced Zumba Instructor (ZIN), Michelle.

Walk it, Snap it, Paint it
Thursday 26th October
10am - 12pm
Walk It, Snap It, Paint It, runs for approximately 2 hours, with a 30-minute stroll to the Edithvale Seaford Wetlands trails to take photos of your inspiration for your painting. Participants will then return to the Artist’s Hub to paint their landscape, with guidance on sketching, brushes, and paint mixing tips to get you started on your masterpiece.

The class will be run by Lee Cummins, experienced mixed media artist and art teacher. Lee often uses the local area and Australian landscapes as her inspiration. You can often find her walking around the local area taking reference shots for future artworks.
All materials will be provided for you. The walk is even and there are no inclines. Nonslip flat shoes are recommended, in winter there can be some muddy spots so be mindful of the shoes you are walking in. If you are unable to walk, you are welcome to come along for the painting aspect of the session, Lee will have images ready.
